At the World Cup in South Africa, vuvuzelas provided the soundtrack, as every World Cup match was accompanied with the similar noise of the vuvuzelas. FIFA did not take any action towards vuvuzelas as it defended saying that vuvuzelas were a part of South African soccer culture. The 53 European soccer nations would observe the ban at the UEFA’s national team and club competition matches.

UEFA said that the vuvuzelas would add a touch of local flavor and folklore, being specific to South Africa. UEFA also said, “The magic of football consists of the two-way exchange of emotions between the pitch and the stands, where the public can transmit a full range of feelings to the players,” it added saying, “UEFA is of the view that the vuvuzelas would completely change the atmosphere, drowning supporter emotions and detracting from the experience of the game.”

Zidane had a good time with the team as he watched video of his France team winning the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship. Zidane also showed off his football skills and signed autographs too.

Zidane wished good luck to the team and said, “They’re a new generation and they have important things ahead of them. The France team is the ultimate level you can reach.”
