At least 74 football fans were killed and hundreds injured at Egyptian Soccer Match Riot – after a pitch assault in Egypt on Wednesday night, the soccer fans hurried the field in the seaside city of Port Said following an upset triumph by the home side against Egypt’s top club.

The match was between Al Ahli, one of Egypt’s most winning clubs, and al-Masry, a side based in Port Said. Live TV footage showed fans running onto the field and chasing Ahli soccer players.

However, they rushing for their locker room as fist-fights broke out among the hundreds of devotees flocking on to the ground. Some men had to save a manager from the losing side as he was being beaten. Black-clothed police officers stand by, appearing plagued.

The deputy health minister Hesham Sheiha admits the state television that this is unfortunate and deeply saddening, and it is the biggest tragedy in Egypt’s soccer history. Egypt’s state prosecutors have planned an investigation into the pitch attack and the violence that ensued, judicial sources added.

Egypt’s football association indefinitely delayed premier league games after the violence. Egypt’s parliament would seize an emergency session on Thursday. The clashes and resulting stampede did not appear to be directly connected to the political uproar in Egypt, but the violence raised fresh distresses about the ability of the state police to manage crowds.

Many gathered outside Al-Ahly club in Cairo city, with slogans over military rule, and hundreds filed into Cairo’s major train station to receive the injured arriving from Port Said. Meanwhile, FIFA President Sepp Blatter gushed that he was shocked and saddened by the deaths.

Exactly one year without a goal after completing his £50 million deal from Liverpool to Chelsea – striker Fernando Torres. Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has warned Torres that he faces being fired after going 1,000 minutes without scoring a goal.

Most people regard a one-year anniversary as reason to celebrate. For Chelsea, though, today gives only regret (Chelsea’s 0-0 draw at Norwich) as they reflect on the £50 million they wasted in last winter’s January Premier League clubs sells.

Fernando Torres did not even register a shot on target on Tuesday night as Chelsea drew with 1-1 with Swansea City, with a late own goal earning them a tie at the Liberty Stadium.

According to the sources – After the game, Villas-Boas admitted that when Didier Drogba returns from the African Cup of Nations, the former Liverpool forward will no longer be assured a place in his starting line-up.

The two fights for the striking position, and when Didier arrives he will be rivalry, told the Portuguese. We all know the significance of Didier to this side, and his record. He will be more competition for Lukaku and Fernando.

Villas-Boas added that they will have to see how tired he is when he comes back, but his goal is to stay with us and to try to win titles so he will be a major player. Of the Spain international, AVB added that the assurance is there and they believe a lot in the player.

We have to continue. He helped the side with his movement and passing, and if we continue to create possibility he will score many goals in future.

Rangers club last week discarded a £7 million bid from West Ham and are holding out for a fee closer to £10 million. But, cash-strapped Everton are doubtful to be able to match the Ger’s asking price, despite manager David Moyes does have funds to spend as a result of the sale of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow last week.

The 26-year-old, who has also been connected with Fulham and Queen Park Rangers (QPR), did not aspect in Saturday’s 4-0 victory against Hibernian, due to a noticeable illness. The Croatia international’s dad last week unveiled his son is intense on a move to Anfield club.

Philip Jelavic told the reporters that we know about the attention of QPR and West Ham. But Nikica has five or six clubs that are interested, including that of the great Liverpool club. As for West Ham and QPR, Nikica is more determined than that. It’s most expected that he will sign for Liverpool. But, there are a few days until the end of the transfer window, so we’ll see.

However, Clubs have less than 48 hours to end their January transfer deals as the January 2012 transfer window closes at 23:00 GMT on Tuesday night 31st January 2012 to finalise their wheeling and dealing.

Liverpool have reportedly tried to offer Manchester City – Andy Carroll for £35 million striker in swap for Carlos Tevez deal, but ended up being closed by the league leaders.

Liverpool have been connected with a number of forwards during the January transfer window as boss Kenny Dalglish seems to add to his options in attack. Despite the Reds beat Manchester United with 2-1 score-goal on Saturday in the FA Cup 4th round – Dalglish has appear his team struggle in front of goal this season, and Carroll has mainly failed to impress.

Former club Newcastle United are alleged to be keen on re-signing the England international, but a January move is not anticipated to happen after Dalglish last week insisted reports that the club were prepared to offload their record signing had absolutely no foundation whatsoever.

According to the sources, the Merseysiders tried to pass on Carroll last week. Liverpool is told to have discussed City’s Football Administration Officer Brian Marwood last Thursday. Just hours after beating the Blues in the Carling Cup semi-final, to propose the swap deal involving Carlos Tevez.

But even though City are dedicated on offloading Tevez before the transfer window closes in a few days time (January 2012), manager Roberto Mancini had no interest in signing Carroll.

Carlos Tevez is currently being connected with a move to AC Milan club, but the way things are moving ahead between the two clubs, he looks certain to remain a Manchester City player at the end of the January transfer window.

However, in order for Liverpool FC to land the player, they are going to have to make Man. City an offer they can’t decline and the only way for them to do this, is if they offer sufficient cash and a player or two.

Chelsea are allegedly hoping to complete the deal of Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Willian and Genk midfielder Kevin de Bruyne in this January transfer window.

Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin prior to this week admitted that he had rejected an opening bid from Blues for Willian, in spite of Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas claimed last weekend that the 23-year-old was not a January transfer target – as he didn’t want to sign players who are cup-tied for the UEFA Champions League.

According to the sources – After failing with an initial £16.7 million deal for the Brazilian, Blues will see to complete a contract before the January transfer window closes next week. Chelsea have previously spent £7 million this month on defender Gary Cahill, who can make his appearance over Queen Park Rangers (QPR) this weekend.

The club also expects to inclusive an £8 million deal for De Bruyne. Genk chief executive Dirk Degraen went to London prior this week to hold discussion with Chelsea officials with a sight to completing a contract for the 20-year-old before the January transfer window closes next week.

Sources for the Belgium club admitted on Wednesday morning that the hopes is that the transfer of De Bruyne will be finished this week. Shakhtar are alleged to want around £29 million for Willian, who has a £32 million release clause in his deal.

But it is considered Chelsea is hoping to land him for around £20 million, which would take their monthly spending to £35 million on the Shakhtar Donetsk player.

Brazilian striker Neymar has apparently stated that he would be honoured to play on the same pitch as David Beckham in the 2012 London Olympics.

The Santos forward met the former England skipper at a MLS game last season and unveiled that it would be a delight to play against him if the former Man. United midfielder were to take part in the Olympics this season.

According to the sources – Neymar told that it would be an eager to play against David Beckham. Luckily he had the chance to meet him last season, he was very kind and it would be an honor to play on the same pitch as him this season in London.

The 19-year-old is eagerly awaiting the start of the tournament and is aiming a first gold medal for Brazil in the football section of the rivalry. He also added that this is a dream of him, and he’s waiting to play in London and looking forward to it. Brazil has never won the gold medal and this is a possibility for us to bring it back.

Neymar also thinks the European countries do not pay enough respect to football player in the Olympics, mainly in England where sides buy talent from other nations. The Santos star believes the Olympics provide an outstanding opportunity for young players to expand and this is why sides such as Argentina and Brazil are so successful.

He continued that, People in Europe do not consider Olympic football is important because it is less essential for them to develop young players. If you take a top English side, they will have just a few English players.

Neymar has conveyed some disappointing news to Chelsea and Manchester City, as he intends to stay with Santos for two more years, which runs until July 2014.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly on a two-man shortlist to replace Jose Mourinho as Real Madrid manager. Could unhappy Mourinho and Wenger swap places?

According to the sources, Arsene is on a two-man shortlist to replace Mourinho at the Bernabeu club, with Germany coach Joachim Low the other nominee being considered to achieve the Special One. Mourinho’s relationships with his players as well as his employers have been damaged away from mend.

A report earlier this week suggested Mourinho is unhappy at Los Blancos giants and is ready to step down at the end of the season, while information in Spain over the past few days have discussed of bust-ups with several members of his squad.

The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss gushed that he did not know whether he would be in charge of the Spanish club next season. Arsene turned down a move to Real Madrid in 2009 year, but was connected with a move to the Spanish capital again last season following reports that the Frenchman was planning to leave the Gunners at the end of the current campaign.

Sources added that Real Madrid club feels they have a better chance of convincing him to leave North London this time due to Arsenal’s current great effort. The Gunners have lost their last 3 Premier League games and are 5 points adrift of 4 placed Chelsea, meaning the prospect of missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is broadly anticipated to take charge of a Premier League club if and when he leaves Los Blancos club.

Former Arsenal FC manager George Graham Insisted to sign Blackburn’s defender Christopher Samba, as the man to solve Gunner’s defensive problems, according to sources clamed!

Christopher Samba, who has been connected with the Arsenal club as well as Tottenham Hotspurs and Queen Park Rangers (QPR), earlier this week handed in a January window transfer request at Blackburn Rovers.

The Congo international, who has been connected with a shift away from Ewood Park for some time, considers it is the right time for him to pursue a new challenge for the English clubs and has charged Rovers of breaking promises.

Gunner appearing to strengthen their back four before the end of the month, Graham thinks current Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger must appear to attract the centre-back to Emirates Stadium before the January winter transfer window closes.

The 67-year-old former Arsenal boss admitted that you look at the Arsenal back four and they keep changing. Both of the full-backs are wounded and they are playing centre-halves there. There was a young Frenchman playing over Swansea City – Ignasi Miquel who was utterly out of his depth.

Thomas Vermaelen is one of the best centre-halves in the English Premier League and they need to get him back as fast as possible. They need a tough defensive centre-half to play alongside him though and Chris would make the perfect partner for the club.

Blackburn manager Steve Kean on Wednesday unveiled that only Queen Park Rangers have made discussed regarding Chris Samba contract.
