Liverpool and Manchester United on Saturday night meet at Anfield Stadium in their FA Cup leg when the Premier League rivals battle kick-off 12:45, January 28, 2012 in England.

Despite their absence from European tournaments, Liverpool has not been able to focus their efforts in getting in top four place so far and are currently sitting on 7th position with 35 points with a record of W9 D8 L5 in 22 games in the Premier League standings.

Liverpool Manager Kenny Dalglish could well choose Andy Carroll up-front to partner Luis Suarez, if Gerrard is not pretty ready to start the game.

Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has tip off Liverpool ahead of the arch-rivals’ powder-keg FA Cup meeting – We’re back to our best. United currently sits on the second place in the league, three points behind the current leader Manchester City. The side has 51 points, a record of W16 D3 L3 in 22 games in the Premier League standings.

The side however bounced back with a FA Cup victory on Etihad Stadium with 3-2 victory over Manchester City and is looking forward to this game. Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted earlier this season that this fixture is certainly the biggest club game in the world.

The FA Cup football game between Arsenal and Leeds United kicks off 19:45 GMT on 09 January 2012 at Emirates Stadium, England.

Arsenal has lost just one of their last 35 FA cup games at home ground, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds in 1997 year. Gunners have made it past the third round in each of the last 15 seasons, an enhanced record than any other team.

Simon Grayson hopes Thierry Henry plays tonight, even though he scored four goals in his last game over Leeds. Henry tormented Leeds in his heyday with Arsenal and netted in his last five debuts over them, scoring 9 goals in total.

But, while Leeds followers may be breaking out in a cold sweat at the thought of Henry making his Gunners return tonight, Grayson claims it would be special to face debatably the greatest player in the 20-year history of the English Premier League.

Leeds United have been drawn over a top four club for the third season in a row at this stage of the FA Cup rivalry, facing Arsenal in 2011 and Manchester United in 2010 year. The away team has won just one of their last 13 encounters with top-flight rivals, beating Manchester United with 1-0 goal score in 2010.

Both the clubs have been involved in some classic FA Cup encounters over the seasons, and the two teams met at the same stage last year.

Probable Line-Ups:

Arsenal: Almunia, Koscielny, Squillaci, Miquel, Hoyte, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Song, Coquelin, Benayoun, Chamakh and Park.

Leeds United: Lonergan, Connolly, Lees, O’Dea, White, Townsend, Clayton, Brown, Pugh, McCormack and Becchio.

The FA Cup football game between Manchester City and Manchester United will be kicks off 13:00 GMT on 08 January 2012 at Etihad Stadium.

The FA Cup third-round showdown, are here and the most anticipated one is the derby of Manchester ground. City has a chance to do a treble this season, given that they may win the title in Premier League.

Manchester City sent shockwaves around English football in October, when it thrashed United with 6-1 goal score at Old Trafford, a result United manager Sir Alex Ferguson described as the worst-ever day of his football career.

City have already crushed United by 6 goals to one in the premiership league game, but there is a strong feeling that Ferguson will be looking to make up for that in their upcoming game. Meanwhile, Milner thinks the overcome hurt United badly and that City need to maintain their form, if they are to try and pick a victory against the Red Devils once again.

Currently Manchester United continuing strong in UEFA Champions League, and securely leading in Premiership league. However, the Citizens’ win over Kenny Dalglish’s team, coupled with United’s shock with 3-0 goal score reverse at the hands of Newcastle United on Wednesday game.

They saw them return a three-point lead against their cross-city rivals at the top of the Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Ferguson appears to know just what to do and the manager is more than possible to make a number of changes going into the game against Man. City.

Probable Line-Ups:

Manchester City: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Joleon Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Nasri, De Jong, Silva, Aguero and Dzeko.

Manchester United: Lindegaard, Rafael, Ferdinand, Jones, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Park, Valencia and Rooney.

The England FA Cup, Semi Finals are here and the most anticipated one is the derby between Manchester United and Manchester City.

The English FA Cup soccer match schedule between Manchester City vs Manchester United kicks off 12:15 PM (US/Eastern) on 16 April 2011 at Wembley Stadium (London).

City are visiting for the first time, since a dramatic division Two Play-Off final victory in the year 1999, a success that occurred four days after United lifted the European Cup in Barcelona.

The last victory Manchester City achieved over United was back in 2010 for Carling Cup, where City won the first leg with 2-1 score, but lost the second with 3-1 score. Manchester City lost their last Premier League game against Liverpool with 0-3 score.

Manchester City has played sixteen Premier League matches this season on City of Manchester Stadium. On home ground, Man City has won 10, drawn 4 and lost 2 matches and this ranked the Citizens 4th in home team performance in the English Premier League.

England defender David Silva has told his Manchester City team mates to savor the Wembley experience. Silva believes, if they can relax then United will be banished on Saturday and a place in the FA Cup final secured.

Manchester United is certainly used to trips to Wembley; this is being their ninth visit ever since the stadium re-opened in the 2007 year. They may be at a majestic stage of the season, but other concerns in the chase for a 19th league title. United won their last Premier League match against Fulham with 2-0 score.

Manchester United has played sixteen Premier League matches this season away from home. On away ground, Man United has won 5, drawn 8 and lost 3 matches and this ranked the Red Devils 4th in away team performance in the English Premier League.

United has a chance to do a treble this year given that, they win the title in Premier League, advance and win the final in FA cup, and triumph Champions League.

Wayne Rooney suspended for the game with Fulham and would not available for this game.

Manchester City dragged a massive victory over Reading in the English FA Cup 2010/2011 on Sunday night at the City of Manchester Stadium, England.

Manchester City and Reading squads knew before kick off, that the winners of their quarter-final may have appearance Sir Alex Ferguson’s Treble chasing United, with England manager Fabio Capello having been caught up in the draw earlier on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City do have a strong team and addition to inconvenient injuries, they have certainly picked up when playing twice every week and clashing on three fronts, Manchester City are also having to deal with the pressure of living up to significantly better expectation.

Manchester City finally got a score with 16 minutes remaining. Micah Richards, who joined City’s youth ranks in 200, headed the fabulous goal in 74 minute of the match.

City were occasionally labored, perhaps jaded after Thursday’s trip to Dynamo Kiev that ended in Europa League defeat, and the hype will be massive as Roberto Mancini’s players get on their first semi-final since 1981 significant win against the club, who have noble it over them for so long and will leave them one step away from the end of that 35-year trophy deficiency.

Reading is taking 10th position in the Championship’s club, arrived at Eastlands without former City defender Matthew Mills, and regular goalkeeper Adam Federici. Also, three of their first-choice back four key players.

Reading started the game with confidence applying a side with a seven game unbeaten run, with a win at Everton in the earlier round.

Reading had been on the ropes at the end of the first half game and was almost grounded by an own goal from centre forward Shane Long.

Manchester City will be meeting Manchester United in an English FA Cup semi-final at Wembley next month.

Final Score: Manchester City, 1 and Reading, 0

Manchester City – Micah Richards (74′)

Manchester United and Arsenal were trying to regain their attention by winning the FA Cup Quarter final from Old Trafford on 12th March and will be kicked off at 17:15 UK time.

The Red devils have been defeated 3-1 against Liverpool and the Arsenals were also crashed out from UEFA Champions League after being defeated 3-1 against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Keeping in view on the results of the past six matches by both the clubs, Manchester and Arsenal has similar results. Manchester club has won three games against Wigan 4-0, Crawley Town 1-0 and Manchester City 2-1. However, they were defeated twice by Liverpool and Chelsea which also include a draw to Marseille. Coming to the Arsenal club, they won two games which were against Leyton Orient 5-0 and Stoke 1-0. However, they were defeated in two matches against Barcelona and Birmingham. But, the team has managed to draw the games against Sunderland and Leyton Orient.

The 25-year-old winger, Antonio Valencia has been out of Manchester United since last September and he might return in the battle of FA Cup against Arsenal this weekend. However, Arsene Wenger, the manager of the Arsenal believes that they will win against Manchester on Saturday match.

Getting the past statistic reports of the matches between two clubs, Manchester United has won four games but unfortunately Arsenal has not won a single match. Will history repeats again, or does Arsenal rewrites the lines of their own fate against Manchester United remained as big question.
