Tanzania comes into the match knowing they need maximum points to stand a chance of progressing to the next round after playing out to a barren draw against Libya.

The Islanders started the tournament on a high note, hammering Rwanda’ s Amavubi 3-1 in their Group A opener at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Tanzania and Zanzibar have faced each other 14 times in Cecafa since 1967, and the former have eight times, drawing twice and losing four times. The last time the two sides met was in 2012 where Zanzibar progressed courtesy of post match penalties following a one all draw in regular time.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Tanzania: Winger Ramadhan Kichuya is known for his pace and trickery, if given space he will cause havoc. Left back Gadiel Mbaga was impressive against Rwanda, and he will be among the players to watch.

Zanzibar: Abdallah Salum Kheri did well against Rwanda, and he tried as much as possible to play balls into the danger zone. Was rewarded with an assist and he definitely will be one of the men to watch. Suleiman Khamis was also a threat for the Rwandese, and the best thing about him was his work rate.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS: Tanzania: Aishi Manula, Erasto Nyoni, Gadiel Michael Mbaga, Kennedy Wilson Juma, Kelvin Yondani Patrick, Abdallah Hamisi, Ramadhan Kichuya, Ibrahim Ajib Migomba, Elias Maguri, Mbaraka Abeid Yusuph and Mzamiru Yassin.
