FIFA president Sepp Blatter allegedly stated on Friday that Russia is already better planning to host the 2018 World Cup than Brazil 2014, which will stage the 32-team soccer show.

According to the sources – Blatter told that he can tell us that we are far, far advanced (in Russia). Even, he would say, we have more problems actually in Brazil than…here. The South American country still had several problems with roads, airports and public transport etc…

On Friday, Blatter said that he had received an encouraging report from FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke about progress in Brazil’s preparations for the 2014 finals. Sepp has received very encouraging information from FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke after his visit to Brazil this week.

In this situation, he would like to say again we are convinced Brazil will organize an incredible FIFA World Cup 2014 on schedule, a FIFA statement in Portuguese gushed Blatter as saying. In his comment earlier in Russia – which led to some misunderstandings? He was referring to the excellent preps in Russia up to the moment, since they are ahead of plan for the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Russia has won the right to stage the sports’ largest event for the first time, when it beat England and joint bids from Spain/Portugal and Belgium/Netherlands in Dec. 2010.

Regarding Brazil, he’s very satisfied with the strong commitment in the last few days by the Brazilian government under the management of Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo and he’s concerned for us to continue on our walk together towards 2014.

Jerome Valcke, however, had to say about serving booze in Brazil that Alcoholic drinks are part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, so everyone going to have them. Sepp Blatter and UEFA chief Michel Platini were tripping St Petersburg to celebrate the centenary of the Russian Football Union.
