Ronaldinho Threat to Quit Brazilian Club Flamengo

Ronaldinho Gaucho has threatened to quit his Brazilian Club Flamengo, after the club failed to pay the star footballer five months’ salary, amounting to $US2.05 million.
Three-quarters of the former Barcelona and AC Milan forward’s salary is covered by marketing group Traffic, who have not paid since months’ salary, his rep. and bro. Roberto de Assis admitted on Thursday.
According to the sources – The 31-year-old wants to reach agreement and then he can compete in the Copa Libertadores. But he doesn’t know if that’s going to happen, Roberto told ahead of the Jan. 25 tie over Bolivian team Real Potosi.
Someone has to take that on – they have to pay the wager. We have been waiting for last five months now. They (Flamengo and Traffic) have to make agreement but that looks difficult to him. Five months have gone by and there has been nothing done.
Club president Patricia Amorim added that his optimism that things are advancing. But Ronaldinho brother warned that if the former FIFA World Cup winner is not paid immediately he might take up one of several hard offers, he has had from football clubs such as Spain, Italy and South America.
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira came back to Brazil in 2011 year in the hope of winning back a place in the national team for the 2014 World Cup, which is being hosted by his home ground country. The striker last played in Nov. 2010, after being over-looked for the World Cup in South Africa – when his club career at AC Milan start to flag.
