Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly stated that the Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic will make a return in the 2012 Premier League season after undergoing a thorough (knee) recovery period.
Manchester United’s central defender and their skipper Nemanja Vidic is return to 2012 season after undergoing a successful operation on his knee lately after the captain tackler found himself out with injury due to a collision in United’s UEFA Champions League fixture with F.C Basel in Switzerland.
The Serbian centre back is set to miss-out on the rest of the English Premier League as well as the F.A Cup fixtures for United as Sir Alex Ferguson’s team will hope that they can manage without their leader at the back. This season, United find themselves level on points with Manchester City in the Premier League and Sir Alex’s men are already out of the UEFA Champions League following an unhappy group stage campaign.
Ferguson told in his latest talk that, He had surgery on Wednesday and came through very fine. They did not remove anything at all, everything is clear, but it’s a cruciate so it will be next season before he is fit to play again.
Nemanja Vidic also lamented the loss of Cleverley, who Sir Alex termed as the best midfield player in Britain in terms of probable and told that the youngster has incredible promise and his absence through injury is a loss to United.
