FC Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has unveiled he is open to making a return to Arsenal FC. The 24-year-old left the Gunners last summer, returning to his boyhood side in a £35 million contract.
Although Fabregas is eager to stay at Camp Nou for a long time, he has stated that should he leave the Catalans, the only club he want to sign for be his former club in North London. Apart from Barcelona and Arsenal, He doesn’t see himself playing anywhere else, he told.
Fabregas added that, he will definitely be going back to Gunners whenever he have time to watch matches and to see the guys, and never know in the future, why not? He hopes he will stay here for a very long time, and maybe even retire him. In life he will ‘never say never’ if there is one place to go back to, it is Arsenal for sure.
The Spain international admitted he had lost his inspiration last season at Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger’s team struggled and Fabregas believed he was failing to motivate his team-mates as skipper.
He added that, it looked like there was no real passion in the side to play. He have always tried his best to make the side go forward and he could see nothing he was saying was really working. Cesc was going into training not feeling the same motivation as when he was 16 years old, and he felt a little bit stuck. He thinks everyone in life has a time, when they need to start again.
But he continued stating that, it was very hard, the hardest decision he have ever made, even if it was his dream to play for Barcelona. He’s not discomfited to say the day he left all he could say to Arsene Wenger was thank you very much.
