Chelsea FC manager Andre Villas-Boas admits he will not be sacked even if the club’s poor form continues and fail to win title this season. AVB job is safe!
Blues lost for the third time in four matches at Stamford Bridge ground on Tuesday night, with Villas-Boas rising after the Carling Cup quarter-final defeat to Liverpool that his players are being concerned by the club’s fans.
But the Portuguese coach believes elimination from the UEFA Champions League this season as well as failure to win the Premier League will not result in him losing his job, because Blues owner Roman Abramovich has made rebuilding the current team a three-year project.
Villas-Boas said that, the philosophy is not a cancer, and we are not stuck on something which is wrong. We will continue to progress as we are trying.
The 34-year-old admitted that was no crisis at the club despite the current defeats. At the end of the season when you are able to return on how many trophies you have been able to win. We have been losing, but we feel we gave everything on the pitch, or played good football.
The former Porto boss also alleged confidence is not a problem at the club, stating that hard work will affect in improvements on the pitch. We just have to haul ourselves together. We can only grab ourselves, work hard, and consider.
December is pure Premier league fixtures. We have three at home ground and three away. They can be decisive for any Chelsea club.
