Liverpool FC Skipper Steven Gerrard Injury Doubts Again

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard could be facing another lengthy injury spell after being spotted leaving hospital on with his right leg in crutches on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard, the midfielder had right ankle in plaster, as he underwent treatment at a Liverpool hospital after he missed Saturday’s 2-0 victory away to West Brom.
Gerrard, 31, has contracting an infection in his right ankle in training on Friday. The skipper had only just returned from a seven-month spell out following groin injury that kept him out of action for six months. Now, he will hear in the next 24 hours how long he is expected to be sidelined for.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish stated that, the cause of the problem after the game on Saturday, but refused to be drawn on his recovery time.
The Liverpool club doubts that the England international could be ruled out for a number of weeks, but manager Kenny Dalglish still likely his skipper to be fit for the trip to the Hawthorns.
Steven Gerrard, who had travelled to the Midlands, and he was forced to pull-out of the game on Saturday morning, when the joint became swollen and infected.
Liverpool will certainly be without Gerrard for their next Premier League game over Swansea next weekend, while England coach Fabio Capello will also uneasily await the outcome of the problem, as he looks ahead to the November internationals over Sweden and Spain.
