Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is allegedly set to drop several of his big players Saturday’s Premier League trip to Everton, including Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand.
Manchester United was defeated with 6-1 score at home ground to rivals Manchester City last weekend in a game which Sir Alex described as my worst ever. According to the sources, the Scot is set to ring the changes over David Moyes team.
Defenders Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra, who were blamed of failing to use their experience against Roberto Mancini’s team, are set to be ruled out, with Ferguson told to be ready to pair Phil Jones alongside Nemanja Vidic in central defence at Goodison Park, England.
According to Thursday’s report, Fabio Da Silva and Chris Smalling will occupy the full-back roles. There will be changes in midfield area, with Anderson and Darren Fletcher, who were over-run over Manchester City are set to make way for the fit-again Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley, with Sir Alex determined to send out a clear message to his under-performing players.
Sir Alex Ferguson has no want to change his attack field, so Wayne Rooney is set to escort the line-up against his former club with support from Danny Welbeck or Javier Hernandez, as Manchester United look for their first English Premier League victory at Goodison Park stadium since September 2007.
