"Tottenham Hotspur Vs Rubin Kazan" Tottenham Hotspur v Rubin Kazan: Tottenham Hotspur will play host Rubin Kazan on Thursday tonight in UEFA Europa League ‘Group A’ action kick-off- 19:05 GMT at White Hart Lane, England on with Spurs looking to recoil back from their 2-2 tie with Newcastle United at the weekend.

Tottenham and Rubin are tied on top of Group A with four points each with Rubin ahead on goal difference. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is missing a number of key players. But, Younes Kaboul and Sebastien Bassong are the club’s only well-fit central defenders.

Ledley King (groin injury) misses out, as do Michael Dawson (Achilles injury), Vedran Corluka (foot injury) and William Gallas (calf injury). Redknapp is set to outline in youngsters Andros Townsend, Danny Rose and Tom Carroll. Sandro (knee injury) and Aaron Lennon (groin injury) could feature after both missed last Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle in the 2011/2012 English Premier League game.

Rubin Kazan has established themselves, as a force in UEFA Europe in recent seasons. They have proved somewhat of a thorn in Spurs side, having scored in his first four games over the club for Newcastle, all of them win.

Rubin will travel to White Hart Lane with former Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins set to key player. Fellow forward Nelson Valdez should also be passed fit in this game.

However, Redknapp is expected to play a second string XI and protect his first choice players for Sunday’s game against Blackburn Rovers. Andros Townsend, Danny Rose and Tom Carroll are all likely to start.
