FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid CF: The Spanish Supercopa football match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will kick-off on 17th Aug 2011. Barcelona vs Real Madrid, Spanish Super Cup live match will kick-off at 21:00 GMT at Camp Nou.
Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has allegedly returned to training ahead of tonight’s Supercopa 2nd leg at home to Real Madrid. The two teams meet at Camp Nou ground tonight with the scores level at 2-2 following last Sunday’s first leg at the Bernabeu.
FC Barcelona was the last side not to win at home game before going on to win the title, a feat managed back in 2005 year. The Catalans have won the last two games at the Camp Nou in the Super cup between the Liga monsters.
A Barcelona triumph would see coach Pep Guardiola’s team lift the title for the 10th time in their history; even as Real Madrid would equal Barcelona’s nine victories if they overcome the hosts.
Real Madrid were the last side to win the Super cup in spite of failing to win the first leg in 2008, when los Blancos reversed a first leg with 3-2 loss over Valencia.
Only a score of 2-2 will see the Spanish Super cup go to extra-time; if the scores are level after 90 min. the away goals rule comes into effect.
If the score finishes with 2-2 at Camp Nou, it will be the first time that the Spanish Supercopa has not been settled in normal time.
Probable Squads:
Barcelona: Valdes, Dani Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Abidal, Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta; Sanchez, Messi and Villa.
Real Madrid: Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo, Alonso, Khedira, Coentrao, Ozil, Ronaldo and Benzema.
