Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas reportedly wants to complete his move to Barcelona before the weekend.
The Gunners fly out to Asia on Sunday for a nine-day pre-season tour and it is thought that the 24-year-old will join his team-mates on the trip if he has not signed for the Spanish champions.
According to the source, Cesc Fabregas is keen to leave the Emirates on good terms but wants gunners to agree a fee with Barcelona so he can move to Camp Nou this week.
Arsenal want around £40 million for their caption, but Barcelona are supposed to be unwilling to pay any more than £35 million for the Spain international and their best contract so far involves various add-ons, which the north London club are not so keen on.
Fabregas returned to gunner’s squad for pre-season training on Monday but is assumed to have been hopeful that the return of Barca president Sandro Rosell from the Copa America in Argentina on Tuesday may help speed things up.
Arsenal caption representatives have held further talks with the officials from both clubs this week as they look to work out a contract and more discussions are likely to take place on Wednesday.
Cesc Fàbregas has become the youngest player in Spanish football history to participate in a World Cup, when he came on as a substitute for Luis García after 77 minutes in the 4–0 victory over Ukraine.
In 19 years age, he was chosen for the Gillette Young Player of the World Cup, but Germany’s Lukas Podolski won the award.
