Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has confirmed the club will offer no more than £35 million [€40 million] for Arsenal central midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spain international captains for Premier League squad Arsenal and also plays for the Spanish national side.
Champions League and La Liga winners have underlined, they will not be held to payoff in their pursuit of the Emirates captain.
The Spain international has once again been the subject of interest from Pep Guardiola’s team, and the president of the Champions League and La Liga winners has revealed an offer has been made for the Gunners captain.
However, Arsene Wenger has insisted his midfielder will be remaining in north London this summer and has no intention of selling the 24-year-old.
Sandro Rosell said: I do not know, if we will sign Cesc Fabregas or not. I have no doubt he is keen to come to Barcelona.
We have offered less than €40 million [£35m] and if Gunners do not yield, well then Cesc will not come.
But, Arsene Wenger and the board are undoubtedly aware of the fact that Cesc will not be extending his contract.
There is lots of speculations and assumption, but very little real facts, besides the obvious, which is Barcelona want Cesc and Arsenal do not want to give him up.
