France Seek Victory on Poland in Friendly Match

France will be looking to continue their victories under Laurent Blanc by beating Poland on Thursday evening.

The International Friendly football match between Poland and France will kicks off 19:00 GMT on 09 June 2011 at PGE Arena Gdańsk – Gdańsk.

Poland has lost only one of their last nine matches; winning four of these fixtures and France are unbeaten in their last nine fixtures.

France squads have missed the opportunity to move clear at the top of 2012 Euro qualifying Group D, when they drew with 1-1 score with Belarus last week but they were back on form when they have beating Ukraine with 4-1 score on Monday evening.

They take on the other hosts of next summer’s European Championships, Poland, on Thursday evening and it should be another positive performance from key player Les Bleus.

There has been an impressive change in the luck of the French national team in the last twelve months. That is almost completely down to the new manager, Laurent Blanc. The former Bordeaux boss took over with the side in disorder, following the hash of the 2010 World Cup. But, he has managed to win the confidence of the squad and fans.

The likes of Samir Nasri, Karim Benzema and Yoann Gourcuff Samir Nasri are now key players for a France side which is built around quick passing and intelligent movement.

After a magnificent victory against Argentina in their last tour, that result may have given the Poland squad confidence.

Poland boss Franciszek Smuda may re-arrange his side. Amongst the players, Auxerre-based Dariusz Dudka is the most experienced player, and Pawel Brozek has scored the winner at the weekend.

France Squad: Carrasso, Sagna, Sakho, Rami, Abidal, M’Vila, Diarra, N’Zogbia, Martin, Ribery, and Hoarau.
