Champions League Top “Players of the Season”

The Champions League came to its exciting finish on Saturday night with Barcelona defeating Manchester United with 3-1 score and now it is time to honor the top performers in Europe’s top Players Of The Season from 2010-11.

Predictably, the winning competitions have strong representation, Manchester United make up a fair hunk of our honored line-up by claiming two positions, including their defensive Centre-back Nemanja Vidic, whose hard performances helped the Red Devils to the main event at Wembley stadium.

Meanwhile other team players were impressed as well, Dani Alves making a fourth and the ‘holy trinity’ securing three of the eleven places available. Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid made it to the last four and two of their players are also recognized for their efforts.

Of course, last year’s champions Inter Milan may have upset in their defence of the title. But, they still have one player Samuel Eto’o, who performed excellently to grasp his way into Europe’s top Players of the Season for 2010-11.
