Argentina to face Paraguay in the International Friendly at home

The International Friendly match between Argentina and Paraguay kicks off 19:00 on 25 May 2011 at Antonio Vespucio Liberti, Ipira, Argentina. Argentina vs. Paraguay side wants to win this match and go forward to remain this competition.

Argentina is hoping to recapture the World Cup title they won in 1978 and ’86 with the coaching help of possibly the most famous number 10 in football, Diego Maradona. An explosive squad with a highly strung coach, Argentina is always an exciting team.

Despite a superstar team, Argentina thrashes to make it into the finals recording six defeats out of eighteen matches in the qualifying stages.

On other hand, the manager Gerardo Martino made his squad in a perfect form to battle with any team in the world.

Paraguay has qualified for their fourth consecutive World Cup finals, after finishing third behind Brazil and Chile. Their qualification was sealed, after a surprise victory against Argentina which encouraged the Paraguayan President to declare a national holiday.

Although, they are drawn in a group match with the reigning champions, Italy, they have a fair chance to progress to the knockout stages.
