Liverpool FC striker Andy Carroll believes his side will beat Arsenal this Sunday in the English Premier League game.
The English Premier League soccer game between Liverpool FC (6th) and Arsenal (2nd) will kicks off 15:00 GMT on 16 April 2011 at Emirates Stadium, England. The Merseysiders in need of five points, as they chase fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur and a Europa League place for next season.
Arsenals need points in this game, as they look to keep themselves in touch with league leaders Manchester United. But, Andy Carroll scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory against Manchester City on Monday night, believes his team can dent the Gunners title hopes.
According to the sources, Andy Carroll stated that, his team needs to work hard to close them down and make sure that they do not give them space or time on the ball. Carroll knows what a good side Arsenal is and what Chelsea can do, if they allow Chelsea to do that.
There is no reason why Liverpool FC cannot win this game and all the lads are confident that they can beat Gunners.
Liverpool is currently at 6th position with 48 points in 32 games, an away record of W4 D2 L10, scoring 16 goals and conceding 26 in those games. However, Arsenal is leading in the 2nd position with 62 points in 31 games, a home record of W10 D3 L3 scoring 30 goals and conceding 12 in those games.
This game seems important to both sides. They are having in mind that Gunners was knocked out of Champions League, fell out of FA cup, and lost the Carling Cup final, the only thing left for them is this year’s title in Premiership.
On other hand, Liverpool was knocked out of Europa League and at one point the side was on the 19th spot in the league. Now, the side stands eight points away from the 4th position, but it is too late in the season for the Reds to reach that.
