Liverpool FC dragged a fabulous victory against Manchester City 3-0 in the English Premier League 2010/2011 on April 11, kicked-off at 19:00 GMT and the Referee was M Halsey. Kenny Dalglish’s team putting in, one of their best performances of the season at Anfield ground.
The game got off to a fast start, with both teams looking to make an early break through. Man City Coach Roberto Mancini is the one, who needs to find answers quickly. As he has enters the most important spell of his short Eastland’s tenure.
However, their efforts were undone and a double from the Reds – Andy Carroll and another from Dirk Kuyt stunned Roberto Mancini’s team in an intense first period, which determined the path of the game.
Liverpool FC came close to doing just that after just eight minutes when Andy Carroll played a superb through ball between Joleon Lescott and Vincent Kompany for Luis Suarez, whose shot was parried on to the post brilliantly by Joe Hart.
Just five minutes later, Liverpool broke the deadlock when Andy Carroll fired home from 25 yards on 13 minutes after Raul Meireles shot from even further out was blocked by the City defence.
Things got worst for Man City just moments later when Captain Carlos Tevez limped off with a hamstring injury. The Reds continued to be the enhanced side following the goal, with their passing exact all over the ground.
In contrast, Manchester City were struggling hard, with their defence at times unable to cope with Liverpool in the final third and Roberto Mancini’s team creating little, when they had the ball.
The attack from the home side resulting in Dirk Kuyt side footing ahead of Hart from 15 yards out to make it 2-0 score after 33 minutes. Then just two minutes later, Liverpool broke again down the left and Meireles cross was met by Andy Carroll, who headed home to make it 3-0 score.
Liverpool continued to be the better side after half-time, with Carroll, Kuyt and Luis Suarez in particular looking dangerous and the Reds continuing to make chances.
The result leaves Liverpool in 6th position, five points (48 points in 32 games) behind Tottenham Hotspur.
