Arsenal Crucial Victory against Blackpool in EPL Game 2010/2011

Arsenal kept them-selves in the Premier League title race with a 3-1 crucial victory away to Blackpool on Sunday afternoon. Gunners got their title push back on track, after surviving a Seasiders fight back at Bloomfield Road.
Arsene Wenger squads close gap, at top of the Premier League to seven points thanks to late Dutchman strike in vital game leaving the Seasiders two points above the bottom of the relegation zone.
Arsenals were forced into a late change before kick-off with goalkeeper Manuel Almunia being taken unwell and Jens Lehmann started the game.
Blackpool made a bright start to the game, but it was the visitors who took the lead after 18 minutes. When Abou Diaby played the ball out wide to Robin van Persie on the left side, with the Dutchman’s cross being met by Diaby who slotted home.
The Arsenal side has doubled their lead just three minutes later after passing the ball around well before Emmanuel Eboue fired the ball in 21 minute ahead of Richard Kingson to make it 2-0 score.
Ian Holloway’s side were rocked by the two quick goals, but as the half went on had started to get back into the game. After Robin Van Persie had a goal ruled out for off-side shortly before half-time. It was clear that the hosts needed to get a goal quick, if they were to get anything out of the game.
Seasiders got them-selves back into the game shortly after half-time, when referee Lee Mason twined played advantage.
Firstly, he allowed the Blackpool to break forward despite Jack Wilshere bringing down a player in midfield. Then second later, DJ Campbell was brought down by Jens Lehmann as he ran through on goal, but Lee Mason again play continue and Gary Taylor-Fletcher picked up the loose ball to slot home from close range.
The home side continued tried for a second goal, but their efforts were undone and moving players forward resulted in Gunners going on the counter-attack. After 76 minutes, Cesc Fabregas set Theo Walcott, who played in Robin van Persie – who notched his 12th goal of the season – made it 3-1 score to bind up the victory.
