Dynamo Kiev Will Face Braga UEFA Europa League Quarter-finals

The shocking Dynamo Kyiv will face Braga at home in a quarter-finals of Europa League. Both squads are meeting for the first time in European competition.

The Europa League quarter-finals match between Dynamo Kiev and Braga is going to happen on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Valeri Lobanovski Stadium, Ukraine, kick-off 19:05 GMT.

Dynamo Kiev have meet with Portuguese teams ten times, where the side has recorded won three, drawn zero and loss seven. The two most recent matches against Portuguese teams were lost by Dynamo, but the side hopes to achieve success, qualifying for the semi-finals.

Dynamo Kyiv are undefeated in their last seven European home games since their loss to Barcelona in 2009. They have not conceded a goal in their last four home matches in Europe.

Kiev has played twelve Ukrainean Premier Matches this season on Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium. On home ground, Dynamo Kiev has won nine, drawn two and lost one match and this ranked the Armymen 3rd in home team performance in the Ukrainean Premier.

Dynamo has a poor history record against Portuguese clubs (seven defeats in ten ties). They will be missing key midfielder Milos Ninkovic and have doubts over first-choice goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkovskiy.

Dynamo Kyiv is considered as one of the favorites to win the cup this year, after eliminating Manchester City in the previous round.

Braga has played thirteen Portugal Super Liga matches this season away from home. On away ground, Braga has won four, drawn three and lost six matches. This ranks Braga 7th in away team performance in the Portugal Super Liga. Braga has not done well in the away matches this year, scoring only once in the victory against Partizan with 1-0 score.

Braga side is undefeated in their last 8 matches in all competitions including victories against Benfica and Liverpool. They have eliminated Liverpool side in the previous round.

Braga met a Ukrainian side only once and it was in the group stage of Champions League this year, where they lost to Shakhtar Donetsk with 0-3 score at home ground and 0-2 away from home.

Anyway, I do not think Braga will do any better than any opponent in Dynamo Kiev. The game might win for Dynamo. Good luck!
