Spain hasn’t faced a defeat in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying matches. Spain travels to Lithuania to continue their flawless winning streak. The match will kick-off at 19:45 GMT on Tuesday, 29th March, 2011 at the S Darius and S Girenas Stadium.
Spain will meet Lithuania for the second time UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier back in October 8th, 2010 where Spain has won the game with 3-1 goals. Spain has played four games in the league and won all the games as it tops the points table and hoping for fifth game in a trot. Lithuania can turn the fate in their favor at their home conditions; they are very strong opponent to defeat on their home soil.
Spanish player David Villa said that they would like to play in the better conditions. He was worried about the pitch, players need to adjust as the ground demands and try different things where they already got succeeded in implementing the strategy. The three points are vital for Spain team to qualify the EURO 2012 as soon as possible.
David Villa is expected to score as many goals as possible and hopefully his good record continues. In the game against Salamanca, they implemented a strategy of neglecting their defense against the counter-attack.
Lithuania manager Raimondas Zutautas said that they need to believe their strengths or otherwise they can never win a game. There is no need of motivating players as everyone knows they were playing a Championship game.
