The Euro 2012 Qualifying Group I football game between Spain and Czech Republic kicks off 21:00 GMT on Friday, 25th March, 2011 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium – European Championship Qualifying.
2010 World Cup winners Spain, so far have played 3 games in Championship Qualifying. They have won two out of the three games, with a difference of at least 2 goals per game.
The first game was against Liechtenstein which ended with a 4-0 score, following a fabulous home ground victory against Lithuania with 3-1 score, and an away victory against Scotland with 3-2 score.
Spain squad has played against Czech Republic and the Czechoslovakia thirteen times, their record at home ground reads as won four, drawn zero and loss one.
Spain won their latest friendly game against Columbia with 1-0 score, but lost with 0-4 against Portugal again in a friendly few months back.
Czech Republic is currently taking the second position with six points, a record of win two, drawn zero and loss one. They will come to try to defend Spanish attacking circus in the way Inter Milan did at Barcelona team.
The side unexpectedly lost their very first game against Lithuania at home ground with 0-1 score. But, they are able to record two fantastic victories later against Scotland with 1-0 scores and another against Liechtenstein with 2-0 goals score.
Since that victory against Liechtenstein, Czech Republic has played two friendly games in which won none and a drawn against Denmark as away visitor, a loss against Croatia with 4-2 score, again as away visitor.
The fact about Czech is their central defenders have only little experience playing for national side. Even though, each of them is an important pillar in their clubs.
In their last friendly game in Croatia, they wanted to simulate their made-up plans for Spain team and lost with 4-2 score. If they got 4 from Croatians in a friendly match, why should they receive less in a competitive game?
Spain is the favorite in this game and however, this game will be a thriller and Czech Republic will be looking for a victory over a biggie one.
