The Ultimate teams, Olympique de Marseille and Manchester United end up the game with a goalless draw at Stade Velodrome, France on Wednesday and the Referee was Dr. Felix Brych in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg this season.
Darren Fletcher could not find the net with United’s best efforts. The first half had finished 0-0 but a lack of goals was in no way pinpointing of either side failing to offer energy in this game. It was a rare opening in a tight game of few chances.
Neither, side played much of an attacking game, with half chances for Andre Ayew for the hosts and Dimitar Berbatov for Manchester United being the only things to see in a game thrilled to deceive in terms of goalmouth action.
However, they were showing an excellent intent to take the tie to their matching part but undone with their efforts, though in truth, quality was hard to come.
United got the advantage, with the Nani free-kick almost worked when the loose ball fell to Darren Fletcher on the edge of the area. The Scot’s snap-shot for a moment wrong-footed Steve Mandanda but, the goalkeeper take back position and made a decent save.
Manchester United has to pull up their socks and quick too knowing that the tie is still in their own hands.
Both sides were ending the game uncertainly both apparently happy to take the game to Old Trafford on goalless conditions. Neither coach looked too disappointed.
