West Ham United does not want to drop the chance of going ahead in the finals; they have won this battle with 5-1 lead against Burnley in the FA Cup. They will now be taking a trip to the quarter-finals of the competition at Britannia Stadium, where they will play with Stoke in the next round.

West Ham United took the lead in the 23th minute through Thomas Hitzlsperger when he charged at the away defence and gaped before unleashing a blazing 25-yard strike goal. Cole’s made his beautiful first goal (55 minute) half-volley into the top left-hand corner of Grant’s goal.

Winston Reid then dragged off a fantastic goal-line (59 minute) at the other end before Sears wrapped the win up with a 15-yard strike at the death.

Cole was not given an opportunity to stick his hat-trick, as he was substitute by Fred Sears with 8 minutes left and finally he made a 30-yard goal (90 minute) over the Burnley.

Burnley made a goal in 71st minute through Jay Rodriguez. Clarets will be disappointed not to have held onto their lead tonight, especially after putting great efforts in second half performance. But, it was too late too little as Burnley crashed out of the cup.
