The Spanish Primera Division (La Liga) football match between Real Racing Santander (14th) and Valencia CF (4th) kicks off at 20:00 GMT. Racing Santander and Valencia will play in the Spanish Primera Division on Monday 31st January 2011 at the Estadio El Sardinero stadium based in Santander, Spain.

Racing Santander eased some pressure off the shoulders of under fire manager as they have played nine Spain Primera Division matches this season on El Sardinero. On home ground, Racing Santander has won 4, drawn 3 and lost 2 matches and this ranked the Racinguistas 11th in home team performance in the Spain Primera Division.

A bad start into the season had the Racing Santander, but meanwhile they left the relegation positions. The promoted team is currently on 17th spot with 20 points in 20 matches. Over all, the Racing’s have W5 D5 L10, scoring 15 goals and conceding 29 in those matches.

Racing’s last victory came in the middle of December and they have suffered defeats in their last two matches, albeit in tough trips away to Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona.

Valencia CF is on high with impressive form over the last few weeks with a fantastic victory, now they began this round of match five points behind third-placed Villarreal. Currently, Valencia are taking 4th spot, picking up 40 points from their 20 matches so far, holding a record of W12 D4 L4 and scoring 33 with 23 goals against in those games in the Spanish Primera Division.

Valencia have won six consecutive league triumphs and they have played nine Spain Primera Division matches this season away from home. On away ground, Valencia CF has won 5, drawn 1 and lost 3 matches and this ranked the Los Ches 3rd in away team performance in the Spain Primera Division.

“It is an extra motivation, a very nice challenge, but it will not be easy to achieve it because the match is going to be very difficult and we will have to play at a very high level to win.” Emery said.

“They (Racing) are a team who deserve to be higher in the table than they are, but they find themselves close to the relegation zone. We know we’re going to suffer, but our goal is to work hard so that we suffer less and less during games.”
