Liverpool has made an unexpected £30 million bid for striker Andy Carroll, but Newcastle United had rejected the bid and United have also rejected £50 million bid offer by Chelsea that had for Torres last week.
Liverpool seem to be lose striker Torres, despite rejecting a transfer request with Chelsea preparing a £50 million bid for the Spain international and now it remains to be seen, if their resolve to droop on to their 11-goal hit man can be broken during the remaining hours of the transfer window.
The Merseysiders made the late bid for the Newcastle United striker as they plan for life without Fernando Torres, who is closing in on a deadline day move to Chelsea.
Liverpool are the 2nd Premier League club to make a £20 million profit for Andy Carroll after Spurs had a £23 million bid rejected for the England international last week.
Tottenham were strongly linked with a £25million offer for the England striker over the weekend, and it now remains to be seen if Newcastle’s resolve will be tested further.
Spurs abandoned plans to make another bid for Andy Carroll after being told that, it would price £30million to land the centre-forward, who has scored eleven Premier League goals this season. The signals coming from Newcastle United were that the Tyneside club is not prepared to negotiate with them.
