West Ham United made a fresh bid on Robbie Keane from Tottenham Hotspur’s in favor to demand that agreement to pay a £6 million transfer fee should they avoid relegation.
Robert David “Robbie” Keane is an Irish footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and also the current captain of the Irish national team. Tottenham will receive a £1 million loan fee for Keane with West Ham United prepared to cover his wages of £65,000 a week for the remainder of the season and commit to a 3 year contract on the same terms.
West Ham United faced Birmingham City on Wednesday in the 2nd leg of their English Carling Cup semi-final with a 3-1 win for Birmingham, are waiting for Tottenham’s response. It remains to be seen whether Robbie Keane will agree to those terms but his options are incomplete if he wants to play.
If Keane fails to sign contract then West Ham United will turn to Stoke City’s Tuncay Sanli, who would price for £4.5 million.
A £500,000 loan fee will be paid for the 25 year-old Senegalese forward but he as failed 2 medicals test, one at Stoke and other at West Ham. The deal has become complicated; however, Avram Grant said the deal was “almost done”.
