Suarez’s appears to be on his way out of Eredivisie giants Ajax coach Frank de Boer, as Premier League side Liverpool have shown an interest in signing the Uruguay international.
Highly rated attacker Luis Suarez wants to leave if a big club makes him an offer, the report suggests that Liverpool contacted Ajax after Sunday night’s 2-2 draw against Everton to discuss a possible transfer and negotiations.
Suarez 23-year-old is contracted to Ajax coach Frank de Boer until 2013, and although the Amsterdam outfits are asking for around £28 million they would apparently settle for around £15 million.
New Ajax boss is resigned to losing the player who has scored 11 goals and set up 9 this season following his incredible 41 goals and 17 assists last period.
Ajax coach Frank de Boer said “I wanted to know what his plans are and what the future will bring. Luis is training hard. He told me that if a big club comes in for him now he is ready to talk to them. I’ve a back-up scenario ready.”
However, Suarez’s is also close to the top of Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp’s wish list and the London club are now likely to step up their pursuit of him.
“We are working very hard on making certain the players we have at the club who you would call the ‘good players’ are going to be with us for next season,” New Liverpool Boss Roy Hodgson said.
Redknapp has said he expects little progress into White Hart Lane during the January transfer window, but hopes to sign one extraordinary player.
Both clubs are likely to have to increase money by selling players if they are to meet Ajax’s valuation.
