Manchester City vs Blackpool: Manchester City will meet Blackpool on Saturday, 01 Jan 2011 kick-off at 12:45 GMT for an exciting football match. Manchester City vs Blackpool live match will be held at the City Of Manchester stadium based in Manchester, England for the Barclays Premier League Football season.

Mancini’s men will do their best at the City of Manchester Stadium to grab the three points and at least remain tied on points by keeping the pressure on league leaders Manchester United.

Manchester City is on high with impressive from over the last month or so, and they are now second in the table after fabulous wins against Villa and Newcastle. They have won two games on the trot and would want to make it a hat-trick of victories and stay in the top of the table. Skipper Carlos Tevez and David Silva will be hoping that the team continues performing the same way.

Mancini’s assistant manager Brian Kidd said: “Our target has always been a top-four place from the start of the season. We’re doing OK on that, but nobody’s getting carried away, not the boss or the players. We know there’s a lot of hard work still to come.”

In the Premier League standings City sit on 38 points, equal with arch rivals United who occupy top spot by account of goal difference and also have two games in hand.

Blackpool has won the last game 2-0 away at Sunderland and are sitting in 8th place with 29 points in the table. The Citizens also produced a good display in the last league game, 4-0 at home against Aston Villa with a hat-trick from Mario Balotelli.

They have had some bad luck with game cancellations due to bad weather conditions and the fact that Bloomfield Road doesn’t have under soil heating.

This will be Blackpool’s fourth consecutive away match in the Premier League, no side has ever played five away games in a row in the competition.
