Successful Ankle Surgery for Antonio Valencia

Antonio Valencia had a successful ankle surgery, but he will be unavailable for maximum games of this season. Antonio Valencia picked up a horrific injury during the game against Rangers in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Manchester United winger, Antonio Valencia will be missing the rest of the 2010/11 campaign and the Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted the same.
Manchester United says that Valencia has been suffering with significant ligament damage. However, they are confident that Valencia will recover as early as possible.
Ecuador national team doctor, Patricio Maldonado said that it will take maximum five to six months to recover completely. Valencia also needs a psychological counseling.
“Contrary to recent reports there has been no official contact from the Ecuadorian national team. Antonio is perfectly fine, very positive and very determined,” said club’s spokesperson.
