USA ruled out from FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Championship

USA U-20 Women’s soccer team has been ruled out from the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Championship with the loss against Nigeria.
This is the second biggest disappointment for the USA as they failed to finish in the top four in both the World Cup’s. USA national team was also kicked off early in the 2010 Football World Cup and the same was repeated in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Championship. USA U-20 women’s team has lost against Nigeria with 4-2 in the penalty shoot out.
USA U-20 women’s team has reached the semi-finals in all previous four World Cup campaigns. USA top scorer, Sydney Leroux did not played well in the crucial match where she missed the decisive spot-kick. Nigeria player, Helen Ukaonu made a goal at the 79th minute and levels the score as 1-1 and in the penalty shoot-out Nigeria won with 4-2. This is the semi-final appearance for Nigeria in the World Cup.
Sweden defeated Colombia with 0-2 in the first quarter-final match on Saturday and in the second quarter-final match, Germany defeated Korea DPR wit
h 2-0. On Sunday, Nigeria won against USA with 4-2 and Korea Republic overwhelmed Mexico with 1-3.
