Republic of Ireland will face five time World Cup winners Brazil in the International friendly match on Tuesday at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

Robbie Keane underwent for additional examination on Monday and got green signal from doctors to play in the International friendly match. IfÂ Robbie Keane will not play, then strikers Leon Best as Kevin Doyle will partner.

Wigan teenager James McCarthy could have the thrill of making his international debut against Brazil.

“McCarthy can play behind the strikers, sometimes left or sometimes on the right,” Ireland manager Trappatoni told.

“James is a good young player, and in the future his manager can decide which position is better for him. At the moment, he is still searching for his position.

“In Italy it is the same as Ireland – where there is a young player with big potential, everybody has great expectations.
